Rev. Dr. Dennis Leach, Sr.

Reverend Leach was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received his early education in the public schools in Philadelphia.

Reverend Leach retired from the US Army in 1993. He was licensed in 1981 by the Pine Hall Baptist Church and was ordained in 1984 by the Rowan Baptist Association.

Reverend Leach received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Fayetteville State University in 1995. He earned a Masters Degree of Divinity from the Interdenominational Theological Center, Morehouse School of Religion in Atlanta, Georgia in 1998.

Reverend Leach has served in many capacities which include Assistant to the President and Executive Secretary Treasurer for the General Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. Additionally, he briefly served as Third Vice-Moderator and as Co-Chairman of the Ordination Council of the Rowan Baptist State Association. He currently serves as the Treasurer of the Rowan Baptist Association.

Reverend Leach is the former pastor of the First Baptist Church in High Point, North Carolina.

He is married to the former Ms. Charolette Hagan. They have five children and three grandchildren.
