Rev. Paul Arthur Lowe, Jr.

Rev. Paul Arthur Lowe, Jr. is a native of Seattle, Washington and part of a family line of clergy. He has served as the served as Pastor of the historic Shiloh Baptist Church of Winston-Salem, North Carolina since 1991.

He is a clergyman who combines pastoral and community leadership. Notably, he has been serving in the North Carolina General Assembly as Senator of the 32nd Senate District since 2015. In 2008, 2012 and 2016 he was elected as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention. He also, was elected by his peers to serve as the Chair of the North Carolina Legislative Black Caucus.

Reverend Doctor Lowe received the Bachelor of Arts Degree from Bishop College Dallas, Texas; the Master of Divinity degree from Virginia Union University (Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology) in Richmond, Virginia; and earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Drew University School of Theology in Madison, New Jersey. He has also studied at Christ Church College (Oxford University) in Oxford, England. Additionally, Reverend Lowe worked as an adjunct professor at Shaw University Divinity School in Raleigh, North Carolina.

 Pastor Lowe is a denominational leader and a member of the General Baptist Convention of North Carolina and the National Baptist Convention, U.S.A., Inc. He has served as the past Moderator of the Rowan Baptist Association of North Carolina. He has also done ministry/missions abroad in the Bahamas, Germany, Ghana, Korea, the United Kingdom and South Africa.

He is married to the former LaGail Crews retired Master Sergeant United States Air Force.

Reverend Lowe is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., 33rd Degree Mason, Winston-Salem Chapter of the Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, NAACP and various other civic and fraternal organizations.
