Sylvester Howard

Trinity Missionary Baptist Church - Sacramento, CA

Rev. Sylvester Ronnie Howard

is the Pastor of the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church and is primarily responsible for providing the visionary leadership for the congregation, serving as a change agent in the community, and preaching/teaching the Word of God.

In 1986, Rev. Sylvester Ronnie Howard was chosen by the Lord to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, and in 1990 he was ordained by his father, the Reverend Sylvester Howard, at which time he became the Assistant Pastor of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church where he was a working member for the past 42 years in different capacities.

In July 2012, Pastor Ronnie was installed as Pastor of the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. As a pastor, I am committed by God’s Word to reach out to the lost and do the Lord’s will. I endeavor to preach in such a way as to use God’s Word and the power of the Holy Spirit to relate to the problems and situations in which all Christians find themselves in this day and time.

In November 2014, Pastor Ronnie was installed as President of the Northern District Baptist Association Congress of Christian Education.

Born the second of five children to Pastor Emeritus and Sister Inell Howard, I thank God for my parents because in them I found great role models. Not only do they talk the Word of God, but they live it every day. As children, we were taught to love the Lord and if we truly loved Him, it would be easy to serve Him.

Beyond my commitments at Trinity, I am married to my lovely wife Monica, the father of three beautiful daughters Ashley, Kayla, and Megan, a handsome grandson Cameron, and a beautiful granddaughter Arabella. It is my prayer that they will continue to be nurtured in Christ and that I am the father the lord is calling for in these last and evil days.

Pastor Howard’s life scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and He shall direct thy path.”
